A stunning example of early 20th century design, this coffee cup is a rare piece of Minton's work with the silver overlay technique. The silver is in the style of Charles Rene Macintosh and is overlaid onto a deep cobalt ground before being chased and polished to give depth to the design.
Examples of this pattern appear on a tapered shaped coffee cup and in other ground colours including yellow and white.
Condition: Very good condition, some staining to the interior of the cup.
